03.04.2008

ATM Interactive TV, the proprietary product of ATM S.A., won the Golden Antenna awarded by Świat Telekomunikacji (Telecommunications World magazine) in the "Fixed solution for business" category, while mPay S.A. won the same award in the "Most promising company of the year" category.

ATM Interactive TV is a platform designed for sending multimedia content that can support a wide variety of terminal devices. There are three variants of the platform:

  • ATM Internet TV — a system designed for PC users
  • ATM IP TV — for receiving the signal using a Set Top Box (STB)
  • ATM Mobile TV — designed for mobile devices such as mobile phones, PDAs, etc.

ATM S.A. offers the ATM Interactive TV platform both to providers of digital multimedia content (e.g. movies or music) and to operators of subscriber telecommunications networks. For business customers, this product creates the opportunity to quickly increase the customer base. For end-users, ATM Interactive TV enables the choice of what and when they want to watch, and using which device.

The product is available on the market. ATM S.A. is currently negotiating the implementations of the product with several major customers.

Roman Szwed, ATM S.A.’s President, received the award during a formal ceremony held on April 2 at the Businessman Institute in Warsaw.

mPay S.A., ATM S.A.’s subsidiary, also won the Golden Antenna as the “Most promising company of the year”. In the “Service of the year” category, the jury has also granted the award to Polkomtel S.A. as the first carrier in Poland to implement the mPay mobile payment system. The mPay service is deployed commercially and is available to the subscribers of Plus and Play networks, as well as to users of pre-paid Simplus, Sami Swoi, MixPlus, Play na Kartę and mBank Mobile accounts. More than 1,500 locations are already using the mPay system today. The system also enables users to settle parking fees in Warsaw.
