The companies of the ATM S.A. capital group endorse the 20th Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity

ATM Systemy Informatyczne S.A., IT systems integrator, as well as ATM S.A. which provides telecommunications services for business under the ATMAN and Thinx Poland brands, will provide technological support to the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation during its 20th Finale. GOCC will use the cloud computing service model offered by ATM Systemy Informatyczne S.A., and ATM S.A. will provide GOCC with internet and data transmission links necessary for the internet broadcast of the Finale.

ATM S.A. has been cooperating with the GOCC Foundation for many years, providing technological support for the Foundation both during the finales, held every year in January, and throughout the year. A complex undertaking such as the GOCC Finale, conducted also by means of the internet, requires sufficient capacity of the internet and data transmission links, so that the internet users across the world can follow the events of the Finale online and participate in special internet auctions organised for the benefit of the Foundation. For the purposes of the 20th Finale GOCC will also use the extended colocation services at one of the ATM S.A. data centers.

On Sunday, 8 January, the IT infrastructure of the Foundation will have to serve millions of internet users who will join the fundraiser organised by Jurek Owsiak for the 20th time. Therefore, the Foundation needs to rent, for a short period of time, a ready-made IT infrastructure with a very large computing capability and guaranteed safety of operation. In order to meet the requirements of the organisers, ATM Systemy Informatyczne S.A. will provide access to IT resources of adequate capacity, capable of serving all internet users visiting the http://wosp.org.pl/ website during the 20th Finale, free of charge.

The Foundation’s website will record much more visits on the day of the Finale than during the whole year of the Foundation’s operation. That is why it needs such capacity of the internet and data transmission links provided by ATMAN which will be able to serve traffic several times greater that on a regular day. The preparations for the Finale required increasing and securing the IT resources of the Foundation. Thanks to yet again choosing one of the ATM S.A.’s data centers, the Foundation has the redundancy of key IT data center systems, as well as physical and electronic security ensured.

“The entire infrastructure will be provided as a service, so the organisers will be able to focus on the priority tasks of the Foundation on this day. The cloud computing solutions offered by us, which we are currently introducing to the market under the CloudiATM brand, were designed with the service of projects requiring quick access to large computing capacities in mind. That is why we simply had to be a part of the 20th Finale. We are proud that our CloudiA™ will play its part in this years’ make-up of the Grand Orchestra of Christmas Charity,” said the president of ATM Systemy Informatyczne S.A., Roman Szwed.
