TVP joins Thinx Internet Exchange

ATM S.A., the operator of ATMAN fiber-optic network and Thinx Internet Exchange, has provided two ports with a 10 Gbps throughput dedicated to the traffic exchange for Poland's national broadcaster Telewizja Polska S.A. (TVP).

ATMs offer concerning lease of two 10 GE ports for inter-carrier traffic exchange has been chosen as the most suitable in the tender announced by TVP. The broadcaster has joined the list of over 130 members of Thinx Internet Exchange one of the largest traffic exchange points in Poland. Thinx IX members generate an average traffic of 130 Gbps.

The Thinx IX managed by ATM S.A. consists of the main node located in Thinx Poland Data Center in Warsaw along with the network of access nodes in 11 Polish cities and 3 nodes abroad. Domestic nodes are located in Bialystok, Gdansk, Gliwice, Katowice, Krakow, Lublin, Lodz, Poznan, Szczecin, Warsaw and Wroclaw while the abroad ones are in Amsterdam, Frankfurt and London.

The IP traffic exchange services are offered to carriers, ISPs and portals enabling the traffic exchange with other networks and Internet content providers.

ATM concluded the contract with TVP for 12 months.
