|New ATMAN contracts in the TFL sector worth over 1.7 million Polish zlotys|
Internet access or colocation of ICT resources contribute to the improvement of security, punctuality and the quality of service offered by companies from the TFL (Transport-Forwarding-Logistics) sector while ensuring their end-users access to shipment information and the ability to track shipment delivery status.
Warsaw, 18 February 2014 ATM S.A., the owner and the operator of the ATMAN, Polish nationwide fibre optic network and the leader in data center services in Poland (ATMAN and Thinx Poland brands), wins new markets for its telecommunications services, in particular for colocation services in its three data centers with a total floor space of 8,500 sq m and for Internet access services in ATMAN, the Polish nationwide fibre optic network. The Company has concluded long-term contracts with major companies from the TFL sector, with a net worth of over 1.7 million Polish zlotys.
Access to the information about shipped goods is as important as the consignment itself, both for the supplier, as well as for its recipient. With the growth of the market of forwarding, courier and logistics services the volume of data containing detailed information on goods being shipped has also been growing. This in turn generates the demand for their safe storage and archiving. These goals are met by professional ATM data centers that provide excellent security. On the other hand, fast and reliable links in the ATMAN network streamline operation and management of notification handling and delivery support systems. This also allows end-users to access the information about their orders or shipments via the Internet.
By locating our IT resources in a professional, external data center operated by ATM, we guarantee not only the stability and continuous operation of our systems but also the flexibility to respond to the changing needs related to office and warehouse space or changes in their locations, without having to adapt new premises for our own server rooms in a sufficient standard that would ensure an adequate level of reliability and safety. This obviously involves cost optimization as well, says Lukasz Spaleniak, IT Manager at Yusen Logistics (Polska) Sp. z o.o.
For companies from the TFL sector, which have many geographically distributed branches, ATM provides the ability to connect all their facilities in a wide area network, which will ensure effective management of a company's telecommunications resources and which will contribute to reduced operating costs. A single access link can support both data transmission, telephone services, as well as a secure, encrypted connections between remote branches of the company.
Services offered in ATMAN and Thinx Poland data centers owed by ATM are already used by Yusen Logistics (Polska) Sp. z o.o., Siódemka S.A. and Butter Sp. z o.o., as well as by the Polish branch of DPD a leading global supplier of courier services. The majority of contracts are long-term commitments.
