|ATM S.A. leads the Polish market for data center services|
According to preliminary data from PMR, acquired for its report titled "The Data Center Market in Poland 2014", ATM's share in the Polish market for data center services at the end of 2013 stood at 11%. ATM remains the largest provider of data center services in Poland, thereby confirming that it has made the right choice of direction in which to expand, and that it offers a competitive range of services, which are coming to be used more and more often not only by Polish firms, but also by those from abroad.
Warsaw, 2 April 2014 ATM S.A., owner and operator of the nationwide ATMAN fiber-optic network and provider of data center services in Poland (under the ATMAN and Thinx Poland brands), explains its strong position by, among other things, its flexible approach to customer needs and the high quality of the services it provides.
"We have now been providing data center services for almost 15 years. In that time we have not only regularly invested in ever greater and better equipped colocation space, but have also constantly raised the standard of our services. This applies both to the technical parameters of our server rooms, which are exceptional by the standards of the Polish market, and to our sales and technical servicing, which is always sensitive to customer needs. The experience we have gained over the years visibly translates into large numbers of loyal customers and newly won contracts," says Maciej Krzyżanowski, CEO of ATM S.A.
The number of Polish firms operating on multiple markets rises rapidly. However, the scale of their operations means that they have to optimize the costs of managing an ever increasing quantity of data. At the same time they expect the flow of information between branches to be smooth and uninterrupted. Identical needs are reported by foreign customers, who also choose ATM data centers in view of the high quality of the services provided at attractive prices.
"We are on the verge of rolling out our latest investment project the F4 colocation building, with net space of 1000 sq m, at the ATMAN Data Center. A long-term contract has already been concluded with a company from the financial sector for one quarter of the total colocation space available in that building, and intense negotiations are under way with other potential customers. The high level of interest in our services among customers confirms to us that we are making the right kind of investments," adds Maciej Krzyżanowski.
ATM continues to guarantee extremely high quality parameters for its colocation services. Customer satisfaction with the quality of its services is a key factor in ATM S.A.'s results for 2013. The company recorded total revenue of PLN 131m, with the fastest growth coming in colocation and hosting services. Revenue in that market segment rose by 17% year-on-year, to reach PLN 58m. In particular, demand for dedicated servers for small and medium-sized enterprises was up by as much as 190%, reaching PLN 3.8m.
This high rate of growth is a result of the low level of saturation of data center services in the SME sector. According to PMR, the Polish data center market, though already the largest in Central and Eastern Europe, is still in an early phase of development. Today worth well over one billion zlotys which is about 15% more than in 2012 the market is expected to continue to show two-figure growth in the coming years.
ATM S.A.'s expansion plans also include the building of another server room as part of the ATMAN Data Center. The project is expected to be completed in mid-2015, and will enable the company to consolidate its position in the Polish data center market.
