|Dariusz Terlecki becomes CEO of ATM S.A.|
Dariusz Terlecki has become the new CEO of ATM S.A., Polands largest data center operator. The post was vacated by the resignation of the companys previous CEO Tadeusz Czichon, who is also its co-founder and largest shareholder.
The companys Supervisory Board has been seeking a candidate for the CEO position for a number of months. Tadeusz Czichon took up the post exactly a year ago, but only on a temporary basis. The Supervisory Board has decided to entrust the management of the company to a qualified manager, taking my place in the running of the business. I see this as a process in the natural development cycle of a company. As a shareholder, I would like to continue to support the firms development, perhaps as a member of the Supervisory Board, if the shareholders express such a wish, explains Tadeusz Czichon, who will officially continue to act as the exchange-listed companys CEO until 30 November.
His successor, Dariusz Terlecki, is an experienced manager who for many years has held management and sales positions at large service companies, including in the telecommunications and IT sectors. He will be responsible for implementing ATM S.A.s ambitious strategy, launched in spring of this year. Its targets include an increase in sales to foreign customers (which are expected to account for 2535% of total revenue) and an increase in EBITDA in 2017 to at least 60m zloty. Among the steps to be taken to help achieve this is the launch of new solutions in the field of security.
Dariusz Terlecki was until recently responsible for the development of the company ADP Poland, and in particular for the creation and implementation of a sales strategy and for coordinating key projects in the Polish market. His duties also included managing the work of the firms branches.
Previously, in 20022011, he was Sales Director and member of the management board of Crowley Data Poland, and one of those behind that companys commercial and strategic successes. His responsibilities included the launch of sales of voice services throughout the country, and coordinating work on the largest contracts for public sector clients. He also prepared a major reorganization of the sales team. Thanks to his actions, the company acquired many new customers, increased sales and built up a strong position in the challenging telecommunications market.
During his long career, Dariusz Terlecki has also worked in the FMCG sector. He acted as Sales Director for the German company FHP Vileda, and also spent time with Office Depot and PBS. He created the latter company from scratch as its CEO, achieving profitability after just two years. In the 1990s he worked as a journalist, writing for such publications as Polityka and Gazeta Wyborcza. Since 2009 he has been a member of the supervisory board of the company PWB AWB.
Dariusz Terlecki is a graduate of Warsaw Universitys Faculty of Journalism. He also completed an MBA at Warsaw College of Management.
He is a fluent speaker of English, German and Russian. He likes to spend his free time in the mountains, reading, and being with his family.
